"You Sexy When You Mad..."

So Nelly did a radio interview & the host tried to blast his ass about old shit...(i.e. Tip Drill Video) Here's my take...Frankly I don't give a eff what those broads did in that video because it ain't got shit to do with me. For those of you who continue to believe that rappers are the primary blame for the images we see in the media...I'll be the first to say "You Are WRONG"...You're quick to point a finger @ the middle man but yet so hesitant when it comes down to dissecting the REALITY...The images in that vid are only influential to the naive & the impressionable. We fail to acknowledge that these women exploit themselves...they sign the consent forms, they know exactly what's going down before hand & most importantly their GROWN...I don't see anybody blasting the CEO of "Girls Gone Wild" for showcasing these little "barely legal" teeny boppers all over the place. What's the difference???

Nelly makes a hella of a lot of sense in this interview...He's right, people spend so much time highlighting the negative that they totally forget about the good. I'm gonna need girly to take "Interview Ethics 101"...don't bring up old shit, be able to back up what you say & NEVER wear that frilly halter top on TV again!!!

Just my opinion people...Oh & Nelly is HAWT when he's mad....(lmfao)

Nelly is still garbage. Aside from that fact, yes, he is 100% right. The problem is that black women have a need to tell black men what to do instead of addressing their own issues. It's easier to harass the rappers than it is to address the video hoes themselves.

That's partly because black women know they are all stubborn. And I ain't lyin on that one. So, they already know there ain't no telling other black women what to do.

What I wanna see is Nelly pull out his phone and dial up a video hoe for her take on the issue so she can tell these heffas.. BITCH PLEASE, GO ON WITH THAT SHIT! We know that's exactly what's going to happen when these self-righteous banshees whine and complain.

It really bothers me how people are so quick to blame hip hop artist for everything. If they will keep the television off, and raise these damn kids correctly a lot of these issues wouldn't exist. And like you said those women in the video are grown and are getting paid to do it. It's their job. If they want to exploit THEMSELVES so be it. They don't reflect me whatsoever so they can spread em' for the world, it makes me no mind.

And I will make fetch with Nelly in a heartbeat! LOL

I agree totally girl. You're right. Those are grown ass women on those video sets and they knew what the deal was before the cameras started rolling. You knew what ramifications were going to come from all of it. I will say this though, we have to hold the artists accountable to some extent. Especially when they know that the videos are widely seen by pre-teens and teens who are barely learning who they are themselves. And in a household where the child is there by themselves after school and mama or daddy doesn't come home until bedtime or after bedtime... what other role models or figures do they have too look up to or at? JMO. I just try to look at both sides of the issue! LOVE YA!

Agreed 100%. I've seen Nelly get upset over this issue in a number of interviews and he has a right to. Them girls aren't FORCED to do anything.

And yeah, homie is hot when he's mad. Hell, he's hot even when he's NOT mad.

I think the thing that made me mad about the whole Spelman ordeal was the fact that he came there to talk about Leukemia; which is the disease his sister died from. So why did they think it was the time & place to address an ass shaking video that comes on @ 3am in the morning on a show called "UnCut"...what the hell did they expect to see???

@Candy I agree w/ you but like A. Red said if parents would be parents the majority of these issues would be none existent. Everybody was hating on Nelly about a Vid he did that aired when the kiddies should have their asses in the bed. But nobody makes an uproar about these reality shows that have buckey naked asses on the screen in the middle of the day...(i.e. the whole Flavor Flav compilations)

and I'm not saying that they shouldn't be accountable for some of the things they say & do...but that just doesn't go for rappers...it's athletes & even politicians doing grimy shit too but of course it's easier to crucify one man for one video.

and Nelly made a great point...when he told old girl if their so concerned about it...why don't they go to the strip clubs & try to enlighten these ladies...simple: Because they are afraid to..

I think Three 6 Mafia came correct when they said "Don't Save Her She Don't Wanna Be Saved"...(LOL)

It's the truth u can't save a ninja who doesn't want to be saved...point blank!
